It may surprise you that the number one reason potential clients don’t hire you as their lawyer is because the competition is enormous for your law practice.

In fact, a study from the University of Kansas shows that 75% of those lawyers are in private practice. That is 975,000 Lawyers in private practice! And, of those in private practice, 62% are in solo firms, or firms with 5 lawyers or less.

That is 604,500 lawyers, which translates into a lot of competition.

Why should a potential client hire you in the first place?
How can you stand out so you become the person a potential client wants to hire.

Do you have any specialized training, other than law, that may relate to your law practice and in turn, to your ideal client?
It creates an impressive advantage.
Whether you have medical, financial, entertainment, or some other specialty training.

What about your own personality and style?
The way you approach anything is the way you approach everything.
This unique quality you have may attract potential clients in ways other lawyers cannot begin to compete with.

Bottom line… BE YOURSELF.
You want to be as authentic as possible.
The best way to showcase these amazing qualities is by video, or even a one-on-one consultation (either in person or via video conferencing). This way, they will get the best sense of who you are and how you can relate to their issues and/or case.

Another thing you can do is provide information your potential clients need by offering information classes, books, or even pamphlets.
