Who Is My Ideal Client For My Law Practice, and How Do I Find Them?

Many lawyers have issues with the concept of “ideal clients,” and how to figure it out.

Why is this important? When doing your marketing, whatever that looks like, you need to know WHO you are speaking to, and make sure you speak specifically to what they need to hear.

What does an ideal client mean? The ideal client is basically the person you work the best with in your law practice. If you could create this ideal client, then everyone would be like this, and your practice would be filled with these clients.

Who is this “ideal client” and how do you figure it out?

✔️ Take a look at your top 5 cases or engagements.

✔️ Look closely at those clients and make a list of similar demographics.

✔️ Depending on your area of practice, there will be similarities.

✔️ Write a profile on this client (an avatar) in detail. These points will help you focus your marketing on the majority of the type of clients you will want to attract to your business.

Next Step? Now that you’ve figured out the WHO, you must figure out the HOW (to find them)

📱 Social Media is one of the primary sources, but they will not all be there. It could be on a specific platform.
