Have you ever asked yourself, Why am I procrastinating with important tasks in my law practice? You know there’s lots to do, but you just don’t want to get to it when you could be on your cell phone answering non-urgent emails and tasks, or scrolling through your social media, or just day-dreaming?

You have a lot of lawyering to do… but you just don’t want to for some reason. Whether it’s the accounting, or content for your marketing, or writing an important brief … you just don’t seem to do it for some reason.

We’re going to look at how to find the solution to that age old problem of PROCRASTINATION.

Here are a few things you can do to combat the problem…

  • Make a list of everything you are putting off
  • Rank each activity in order of importance
  • Figure out who should do it, delegate non-lawyer tasks
  • Schedule a date and time to get each item done, and give yourself a time limit.
  • Find something to reward yourself once the task is complete 

Figure out what is causing you to procrastinate and why you’re doing it.

Then, Break it down as I detailed above.

You know you have those tasks you need to get done. You may not like them. But if you plan for it, you’ll find the tasks get done.

It’s easy to hold your team accountable when you delegate, but what about YOU? Who is holding you accountable?

For me it was a business coach. If I didn’t have a business coach, I’d probably still be procrastinating.
